Speakers Policy

Draft — pending board review, modeled on the terms comparable volunteer-run open source conferences publish for their Call for Speakers.

LinuxFest Northwest is entirely volunteer-run and free to attend, and we don't pay speaker honoraria or travel expenses. In exchange, we ask speakers to:

• Submit sessions by the Call for Speakers deadline, and confirm attendance promptly once accepted.
• Keep the session's actual content close to what was submitted — let us know ahead of time if your topic changes significantly.
• Expect that your session may be recorded and livestreamed publicly (see our Photography & Recording Policy); by presenting, you're agreeing to that unless you tell us otherwise in advance.
• Follow our Code of Conduct like every other attendee — that applies to speakers too.
